Each year the team at Magnificent Events works hard to produce and execute high quality, memorable events in the Chicagoland area and around the globe! 2019 Memorable Awards:
2019 Nice Awards: Magnificent Events took home two big wins from the 2019 NICE Awards. The team won both Best Entertainment and Best Fair or Festival after their year of hard work.
2019 Wedding Wire: Did you know Magnificent Events produces and book excellent entertainment options for weddings too? The team received for the 6th year in a row the 2019 Couples Choice Award.
Dave Calzaretta honored in Daily Herald Business Ledger for Innovation in Entrepreneurship: Magnificent Events founder and entertainer, David Calzaretta, was honored for all his hard work and dedication this year for Innovation in Entrepreneurship at the 2019 Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards with the Daily Herald Business Ledger. Honorees demonstrate the best traits of entrepreneurship, including willingness to take risks, drive, perseverance and business creativity. Guided by his motto, “If it doesn’t exist, I will create it,” Dave and his expert team have taken the event world by storm and worked to bring unforgettable experiences to clients across the globe.
2019 Memorable events:
Publicity Club of Chicago 60th Annual Golden Trumpet Awards: The team at Magnificent Events provided production and entertainment services for the Publicity Club of Chicago’s 60th Annual Golden Trumpet Awards in June 2019. Dave and the team were highly involved in the planning process and worked with vendors to ensure everyone had the best experience possible. Magnificent Events’ Talk of the Town Big Band rocked the stage all night, and were later joined by Rapper Tone Loc at the after party. And guess what? The marketing and management team from Magnificent Events also received a Silver Trumpet in Integrative Marketing Communications at the Golden Trumpet Awards for their work with celebrity sit-ins!
2019 Chicago Blackhawks Convention: Magnificent Events family band, Final Say, got the opportunity to play for Chicago’s biggest Blackhawks fans at the 2019 Chicago Blackhawks Convention hosted at the Hilton Hotel Chicago. The night was filled with music, games, and everyone’s favorite Chicago Blackhawks players.
Maggie Speaks 21st Anniversary: CD & ME in Frankfort, Illinois hosted Maggie Speaks 21st Anniversary show. The band was joined by Randall Hall (formerly of Lynyrd Skynyrd) on the CD & ME stage, where they celebrated their 21st anniversary with the 1,000 people who came out to support the band. Maggie Speaks and Magnificent Events are grateful for all the support the fans have shown through the years and can’t wait for many more anniversary shows.
Plainfield Fest 2019: Magnificent Events had the pleasure of not only providing entertainment and productions services for Plainfield Fest this past summer. Our band Maggie Speaks rocked the house at Plainfield Fest with Celebrity Sit-In Theo Peoples (formerly of the Temptations and the Four Tops).
ALA Oktoberfest Dallas, Texas: Architectural Lighting Alliance Oktoberfest is held every two years to bring together ALA’s clients and vendors for education, networking and and entertainment. Magnificent Events produced the evening, providing the Chicago based cover band Maggie Speaks, stage, sound and lighting as well as three celebrities; John Elefante (former lead singer of Kansas); Fran Cosmo (former lead singer of Boston) and Randall Hall (formerly of Lynyrd Skynyrd).
KSA Lighting & Controls Navy Pier: Magnificent Events provided production and entertainment services for KSA Lighting & Controls summit and after party at Navy Pier in Chicago, Illinois. The Covergirls Violin Show entertained on the tradeshow floor, alongside Dan Hampton and Steve McMichael of the 85 Bears who signed autographs at the KSA booth. Later in the evening, Maggie Speaks performed with Dan and Steve at the KSA after party in the Crystal Garden Ballroom at Navy Pier.
